The Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) is a self-report screening instrument designed to identify adolescents and adults with a high probability of having a substance use disorder. Circle Of Security Parenting Classes
Circle of Security is a relationship-based program that aims to enhance secure attachment relationships between caregivers and children. It provides a roadmap for understanding and responding to the emotional needs of children, promoting secure attachment through the principles of “being with”. The program assists parents in providing emotional support to their children, helping them develop secure attachment, resilience and enhanced interpersonal relationships.
Bonding Assessment
A Bonding Assessment is a study that determines how a child has bonded with their parents or caregivers. It evaluates the nature and quality of the child's attachments to the caregivers, often addressing the question of who occupies the position of greatest centrality in a child's attachment and emotional life.
Psychosocial Evaluation
A Psychosocial Evaluation is a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of an individual's physical, mental and emotional health, along with their ability to function within a community and their perception of themselves. It is mainly conducted by social workers and/or medical staff, and is a tool to learn facts about an individual, as well as determine their present and future behavior. Psychosocial Evaluations generally are conducted in a question-answer format, where a social worker and/or medical staff asks a series of questions. The questions vary according to the state of the individual, and the problems they may be facing. The answers received are then used to create an individual plan which serves to provide the best possible treatment or care to that individual.
Adult Attachment Interview
An Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) structured interview designed to assess an individual's attachment style by exploring their early childhood experiences and how those experiences have influenced their adult relationships, as well as their relationship within themselves. The AAI evaluates an adult's ability to talk about emotions and memories from early childhood to the present.
